Cadence Infraco Africa Ltd. is hiring an experienced FTTH Main Technician / Fiber Optic Technician to support our growing fiber network operations in Nairobi.

We are looking for a skilled professional with strong experience in FTTH deployment, fiber installation, fusion splicing, OTDR testing, OPM testing, ONT configuration, OLT activation, fiber troubleshooting, GPON networks, and telecom network maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • FTTH installation and activation for residential and enterprise customers.
  • Fiber optic splicing, jointing, termination, and testing.
  • OTDR and OPM testing, signal tracing, and fault resolution.
  • ONT configuration, OLT activation, and router installation.
  • Indoor and outdoor cabling and customer premises equipment (CPE) setup.
  • Fiber troubleshooting, attenuation checks, and connectivity restoration.
  • Backbone support, cabinet patching, and JC identification.
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance of GPON and fiber networks.
  • Lead field teams during fiber deployment and network maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in FTTH deployment and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Safaricom FTTH network infrastructure and telecom operations.
  • Hands-on experience in fusion splicing, OTDR testing, OPM testing, fiber troubleshooting, ONT/OLT configuration, fiber network operations, signal tracing, JC identification, router installation, and activation.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • KPLC Class 14 certification is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
